House Renor'ath
-Ordaeseil DeVir Renor'ath, Velve d'l'Drathir
History of the House
House Renor'ath was founded in 1284DR by Ordaeseil DeVir, eldest son of the now deceased House DeVir. Ordaeseil was renown for his actions against Vhaerun and Lolth which earned him a crippled black hand from Zal'therra Baenre, yet also saving his brother from ritual sacrifice to Lolth. After losing most of his dexterity with his sword hand, Ordaeseil took up the poisoned spear and became quite proficient with it. Despite this, many younger fighters challenged him to a number of duels, fair or otherwise, but each of these were bested by the wizened warrior. Even with this however, House DeVir began to decline and Ordaeseil (with brother Talys in tow) was forced to leave DeVir.
Ordaeseil and Talys traveled for 11 years throughout various Underdark settlements, joining a group of Vhaerunite mercenaries. With the fall of House DeVir in 1295DR, Ordaeseil was devastated and went on a spiritual journey to find some meaning to his unfortunate existence as an Ilythiiri. Ordaeseil found searched for 2 desperate years before finally stumbling into the Temple of the Moonmaiden, the Promenade. After spending another 2 years among the Eilistraee Drow, Ordaeseil became a clergyman and went out to form House Renor'ath, named after his cursed appendage.
300 years later, the House is now led by Ordaeseil Renor'ath IV, a m'Thainor and Killian d'l'Olath Drathir. While still relatively small, the house is thriving and the predominant fighting style remains Velve Luth'ol.
